About Me

Learn about my background, training and approach to psychotherapy.

I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Jersey City University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and worked as a graduate research assistant. During my training, I was part of the team that took first place in the American Counseling Association's 2021 Masters-Level Ethics Competition. I am a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and psychotherapist in New Jersey. In addition to my private practice in downtown Jersey City, I provide psychiatric emergency screening and crisis intervention for Hudson County. I am also a psychoanalytic candidate at The Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey.

My clinical focus is on helping people reduce emotional and mental suffering by examining what is actually driving their difficulties, where it came from, and what has kept it in place.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic principles, though I remain flexible and responsive to what each person brings. Rather than relying on a fixed technique or formulaic structure, the work is shaped by client goals and what comes up in the room. I invite clients to speak openly and without self-censorship as a way of exploring their inner life more fully.

I work with adults and couples. With individuals, therapy often involves examining the underlying patterns shaping one's experience before moving toward change. With couples, I help partners slow things down, address conflict, repair disconnection, and better understand each other.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade in the business world before choosing to redirect my career toward work that felt more meaningful. Outside of the office, I spend time with my family, travel, read, and train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

If you are interested in understanding yourself better, improving your relationship, or working toward real change, I welcome you to reach out.
