About Me

I am a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor and psychotherapist based in New Jersey. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and maintain a private practice in downtown Jersey City. Alongside my outpatient work, I provide acute crisis intervention in the psychiatric emergency department at Jersey City Medical Center. I have also worked in addiction treatment and school counseling. My experiences allow me to approach my work with flexibility, nuance and professionalism.

My clinical focus centers on helping individuals reduce emotional and mental suffering while developing greater clarity, confidence, and agency as they navigate life’s challenges. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by their emotions, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure why certain thoughts, reactions, or behaviors keep repeating. Others arrive during periods of transition, loss, or strain in their relationships. My role is to help individuals make sense of what is happening beneath the surface as they pursue more intentional and fulfilling ways of living.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, while remaining flexible and responsive to each person I work with. Rather than relying on a single technique or a formulaic structure, therapy is shaped by what individuals bring into the room. I invite clients to speak openly and without self-censorship to facilitate the exploration of thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences as they arise. Over time, patterns begin to take shape and previously confusing or distressing experiences often become more understandable and manageable.

What I have found most helpful in therapy is not any single intervention, but the collaborative nature of the relationship itself. Our ability to approach difficult topics with curiosity and courage allows for deeper exploration. Insight alone is not the goal. The work also involves considering how new understandings can be integrated into daily life in ways that ease emotional strain and support decision-making.

Clients often describe me as caring and dependable. I strive to remain thoughtful and composed regardless of topic, especially when topics feel uncomfortable. Many clients note that our work together helps them feel more confident in their choices and more in control of how they respond to internal and external pressures.

I work with adults, teens, and couples. With individuals, therapy often focuses on anxiety, mood concerns, trauma-related issues, relationship difficulties, and long-standing patterns that feel hard to change. With adolescents, the work may involve navigating intense emotions, anxiety-driven behaviors, family dynamics, and questions around identity and direction. In couples counseling, I help partners slow down reactive cycles, better understand what drives conflict, and develop ways of relating that support connection and mutual understanding.

After more than a decade in the business world, I chose to realign my life in order to pursue work that felt meaningful and aligned with my values. My clinical work is informed not only by training and professional experience, but also by my own personal growth, relationships, and life transitions.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
