About me

Learn more about me and my areas of clinical expertise.

I am a board-licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Jersey City University and a Bachelor’s from the University of Vermont.

At NJCU, I received a graduate assistant scholarship and assisted faculty while advancing my own training. I graduated summa cum laude and had the honor of representing the university in the 2021 Graduate Student Ethics Competition, where our team won first place nationally.”

I maintain a private practice in downtown Jersey City and also work in Jersey City Medical Center’s psychiatric emergency department, where I provide acute crisis intervention. I also serve on a specialized response team that collaborates with Hudson County Regional SWAT to provide immediate mental health assistance to crisis situations.

Earlier in my career, I worked in addiction treatment and at a university counseling center. Experience in these roles, along with my current work, allows me to approach therapy with flexibility, nuance, and a readiness to meet clients where they are.

In my practice, I help individuals who grapple with universal human experiences such as anxiety, depression, self-doubt, hopelessness, and grief that have become overwhelming and disruptive to daily life.

What I’ve found most helpful in the work I do is not any one technique, but the collaborative nature of the relationship we build. With curiosity, courage, and a willingness to navigate discomfort and uncertainty, the psychotherapeutic process lays the groundwork for meaningful change and helps individuals begin living in ways that feel authentic and fulfilling.

My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic principles, though I draw on various modalities to meet each client’s unique needs, recognizing that no single method fits all.

After over a decade in a previous career, I chose to realign my life, shifting my career and lifestyle to better reflect my values and pursue my passions. My work is informed by my own personal growth, relationships, professional transitions, and clinical experience

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
